# Seylo > A workspace that keeps an AI-assisted project legible to the person running > it: every prompt, script, reference and decision in one place, with what was > approved and what came from what. An assistant can read the same structure > over MCP, but the structure is for you first. ## What it is Seylo keeps work as projects rather than conversations. A project holds typed assets (brief, script, prompt, note, decision, code, visual, file), each with a status, a version history, and a record of what it came from. Spaces sit between a project and its assets, so one project can hold several subjects (three characters, three pages of a redesign), each with its own context. What that buys you is a project you can still read in three months: which script is the approved one, which prompt produced which image, what was decided and when. A chat log cannot answer any of those, and a folder of files answers none of them either. An MCP client such as Claude can read the same structure (a project, or one space inside it) and work from the version you approved rather than its recollection of a conversation. That is a consequence of the structure existing, not the reason to keep it. ## What it is not - Not a chat interface. It generates nothing. You keep using ChatGPT, Claude or anything else, and Seylo is where the results go. - Not a task manager. No assignees, due dates, sprints or kanban. - Not a note-taking app. The unit is a typed asset with a status and lineage, not a page. ## Who it is for People whose work with AI produces material worth keeping and reusing: writers, marketers, designers, film and content people, developers. It earns its place when a project runs longer than one conversation, or spans more than one tool. ## How it connects - MCP server: an assistant reads and writes projects, spaces, assets and the facts a project treats as currently true. Connecting an assistant is part of Pro, not Free. - Browser extension: a save button inside ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Manus and Kimi, plus a right-click save on any other page. - iPhone app: saves from any app's share sheet into a project, and opens the projects already there. https://apps.apple.com/app/id6814973617 ## Plans - Free: $0 forever. - 500,000 characters of project memory - 250 MB of file storage - 3 active projects - 3 spaces inside each project - Map and Document views of every project - Connect related assets and see where each one came from - Browser extension for one-click capture - Search across every project by the words you remember - Pro: $8.99 per month, billed annually. - Everything in Free - Connect Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor to your projects over MCP - Search by meaning, not just the words you typed - Unlimited projects and unlimited project memory - As many spaces inside a project as it needs - 20 GB of file storage - Share a project with up to 2 people ## Documentation - [What Seylo is, and what it is not](https://seylo.co/help/what-seylo-is): Seylo is a workspace for the work you do with AI, not another chat window. - [Install the browser extension](https://seylo.co/help/install-the-browser-extension): One click from your AI tools, and a right-click from anywhere else, straight into a project. - [Save your first thing from ChatGPT or Claude](https://seylo.co/help/save-your-first-thing): What each field in the save panel does, and why the project is already filled in. - [Add to an existing note instead of starting a new one](https://seylo.co/help/add-to-an-existing-note): Research that grows over a week belongs in one note, not in seven. - [Record what came from what](https://seylo.co/help/record-what-came-from-what): Lineage is the one thing a folder cannot do. Here is how to set it and fix it. - [The Library: references you keep across projects](https://seylo.co/help/the-library): Keep what is good but not for one project yet, mark whether it worked, and hand it to the projects that should read it. - [Move, rename or relink an asset](https://seylo.co/help/move-rename-relink): Fixing a title, a project or a source after the fact. - [Search across every project](https://seylo.co/help/search-across-projects): What the search box matches, and the operators it understands. - [Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor through MCP](https://seylo.co/help/connect-claude-over-mcp): Let the model read your projects directly, instead of pasting context in. - [Project State: the settled facts of a project](https://seylo.co/help/project-state): One place that says what is currently true, so nothing has to be reconstructed from history. - [Why is my project locked?](https://seylo.co/help/why-is-my-project-locked): What locking means, what it does not mean, and how to bring a project back. - [Refunds, cancelling, and changing your mind](https://seylo.co/help/refunds-and-cancelling): Fourteen days for a full refund on any paid plan, and how cancelling works after that. - [What is included in Free and Pro](https://seylo.co/help/free-vs-pro): The limits that actually differ, and where each one is enforced. - [What counts toward storage](https://seylo.co/help/what-counts-toward-storage): Files count. Text does not. - [Share a project with someone](https://seylo.co/help/share-a-project): Up to 2 people per project, on Pro. - [Can I recover something I changed or deleted?](https://seylo.co/help/version-history-and-deletion): Edits are recoverable. Deletions are not, so read this before deleting. - [Export everything you have](https://seylo.co/help/export-your-data): One file, everything in it, no request needed. ## Blog Longer pieces on working with AI across tools, newest first. Also as a feed: https://seylo.co/blog/rss.xml - [How to keep track of your AI image prompts, and which one made which image](https://seylo.co/blog/keep-track-of-ai-image-prompts): The prompt that worked gets lost in a chat, and the picture it made says nothing about where it came from. Keep each prompt next to the image it produced, mark the one that worked, and find it again in seconds. - [How to share context between ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor](https://seylo.co/blog/share-context-between-chatgpt-claude-and-cursor): ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor each remember on their own, and none of it reaches the others. Keep the project in one place all three read, and stop explaining it three times. - [How to give Claude a memory of your project](https://seylo.co/blog/give-claude-a-memory-of-your-project): Claude starts every chat from zero. Here is how to give it one place to read your project from, and what it can and cannot change there. - [Where to keep design references, and remember why they worked](https://seylo.co/blog/where-to-keep-design-references): Screenshots folders and Pinterest boards keep the picture and lose the reason. Keep the verdict with the reference, group references by kind, and bring them into the work when you need them. - [Save ChatGPT and Claude answers before they get lost](https://seylo.co/blog/save-chatgpt-and-claude-answers): The best answer is always somewhere in a long chat. Save the part worth keeping into a project, with where it came from, and find it again without scrolling. ## Contact support@seylo.co
